West Virginia High School Softball - Lewis County bounces Elkins
April 12, 2018: Weston, WV 26452 Lewis County Minutemen (Weston, WV) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Elkins Tigers (Elkins, WV), 10-0 in a league challenge.
The Minutemen now own a 11-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to East Fairmont for a Big Ten challenge on Monday, April 16. Lewis County will battle a Bees squad coming off a 9-1 league win over Bridgeport (Bridgeport, WV). The Bees record now stands at 8-4.
With the loss, Elkins falls to 2-4 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Buckhannon-Upshur (Buckhannon, WV) to battle the Buccaneers in a Big Ten challenge on Saturday, April 14. The Buccaneers enter the challenge with a record of 5-7. Buckhannon-Upshur lost 10-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Morgantown (Morgantown, WV)
