Parchment Panthers (Parchment, MI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Maple Valley Lions (Vermontville, MI), 51-34 in a league bout.

With the win, Parchment upgrades its record to 6-1 on the season. The Panthers travel to Hackett Catholic Central (Kalamazoo, MI) to encounter the Fighting Irish in a Kalamazoo Valley bout on Friday, January 15. The Fighting Irish go into the bout with a record of 3-3. Hackett Catholic Central won 59-52 in their recent league bout against Galesburg-Augusta (Galesburg, MI)

Next up, the Lions encounter the Constantine Falcons (Constantine, MI) in a Kalamazoo Valley bout, on Friday, January 15. Maple Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record. The Falcons go into the bout with a 4-3 record after their 47-44 league loss to Kellogg (Delton, MI).
