Texas High School Basketball - Crystal City overwhelms Pearsall
January 19, 2010: Crystal City, TX 78839 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Crystal City Javelinas (Crystal City, TX) and the visiting Pearsall Mavericks (Pearsall, TX), saw Crystal City's basketball squad trounce Pearsall by a score of 71-50.
With the victory, Crystal City improves its record to 9-10 on the campaign. The Javelinas travel to Devine (Devine, TX) to play the Warhorses in a 3A Region IV District 29 challenge on Friday, January 22. The Warhorses come into the challenge with a record of 7-9. Devine lost 78-45 in their recent league challenge against Hondo (Hondo, TX)
Next up, the Mavericks play the Carrizo Springs Wildcats (Carrizo Springs, TX) in a 3A Region IV District 29 challenge, on Friday, January 22. Pearsall will attempt to improve on its 2-19 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 3-13 record after their 54-42 league loss to Lytle (Lytle, TX).
