December 28, 2009: Chicago Heights, IL 60411 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Bloom Blazing Trojan (Chicago Heights, IL) and the visiting Shepard Astros (Palos Heights, IL), saw Bloom's basketball squad knock off Shepard by a score of 64-47.
With the victory, Bloom improves its record to 4-7 on the campaign. The Blazing Trojan travel to Rich East (Park Forest, IL) to battle the Rockets in a SICA - South challenge on Friday, January 8. The Rockets come into the challenge with a record of 6-7. Rich East lost 66-61 in their recent non-league challenge against Tinley Park (Tinley Park, IL)
Next up, the Astros battle the Fenger Titans (Chicago, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 29. Shepard will attempt to improve on its 3-9 season record. The Titans come into the challenge with a 0-10 record after their 81-45 non-league loss to Richards (Oak Lawn, IL).
