Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Centerville Tigers (Centerville, TX) and the visiting Grapeland Sandies (Grapeland, TX), saw Centerville's basketball squad hold off Grapeland by a score of 59-52.

With the victory, Centerville improves its record to 4-0 on the campaign. The Tigers host New Waverly (New Waverly, TX) to battle the Bulldogs in a 2A Region III District 21 challenge on Friday, December 18. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 8-2. New Waverly won 94-60 in their recent non-league challenge against Hearne (Hearne, TX)
