Illinois High School Basketball - MacArthur knocked off by Springfield
December 5, 2009: Decatur, IL 62522 In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Springfield Senators basketball team scored a good 59-50 triumph over the MacArthur Generals.
In their next game, the Senators confront the Southeast Spartans (Springfield, IL) in a Central State Eight match, on Friday, December 11. Springfield will attempt to better on its 4-3 season record. The Spartans enter the match with a 1-2 record after their 57-51 league loss to Lanphier (Springfield, IL).
With the defeat, MacArthur moves to 2-3 on the year. The Generals travel to West (Normal, IL) to confront the Wildcats in a Big Twelve match on Tuesday, December 8. The Wildcats enter the match with a record of 3-2. West lost 85-79 in their recent league match against Danville (Danville, IL)
