February 5, 2024: West Liberty, IA 52776 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Benton Bobcats (Van Horne, IA) and the host West Liberty Comets (West Liberty, IA), saw Benton's basketball squad wallop West Liberty by a tally of 64-34.
With the victory, Benton improves its record to 14-6 on the campaign. The Bobcats host South Tama County (Tama, IA) to confront the Trojans in a WAMAC - West challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 0-20. South Tama County lost 44-42 in their recent non-league challenge against Meskwaki Settlement (Tama, IA)
Next up, the Comets confront the Regina Regals (Iowa City, IA) in a River Valley - South challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. West Liberty will attempt to improve on its 5-14 season record. The Regals come into the challenge with a 15-4 record after their 57-39 league win over Mid-Prairie (Wellman, IA).
