Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Hughesville nips Bloomsburg
January 31, 2024: Hughesville, PA 17737 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Hughesville Spartans (Hughesville, PA) and the visiting Bloomsburg Panthers (Bloomsburg, PA), saw Hughesville's basketball squad hold off Bloomsburg by a tally of 48-41.
With the victory, Hughesville improves its record to 17-3 on the campaign. The Spartans host Mount Carmel (Mount Carmel, PA) to play the RED TORNADOES in a Heartland III challenge on Saturday, February 3. The RED TORNADOES come into the challenge with a record of 7-12. Mount Carmel lost 55-23 in their recent league challenge against Loyalsock Township (Williamsport, PA)
Next up, the Panthers play the Southern Columbia Area Tigers (Catawissa, PA) in a Heartland III challenge, on Friday, February 2. Bloomsburg will attempt to improve on its 10-9 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 0-12 record after their 53-19 non-league loss to Neumann Regional Academy (Williamsport, PA).
