Iowa High School Basketball - Riceville fells Turkey Valley
January 4, 2024: Riceville, IA 50466 Riceville Wildcats (Riceville, IA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Turkey Valley Trojans (Jackson Junction, IA), 48-31 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Riceville upgrades its record to 12-0 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Northwood-Kensett (Northwood, IA) to clash with the Vikings in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 6. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 3-6. Northwood-Kensett lost 51-41 in their recent league bout against St. Ansgar (St. Ansgar, IA)
Next up, the Trojans clash with the Kee Kee Hawks (Lansing, IA) in a Upper Iowa bout, on Friday, January 5. Turkey Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Kee Hawks go into the bout with a 7-4 record after their 70-43 non-league loss to Waukon (Waukon, IA).
