In Thursday's league outing, the Palmer Dragons (Marks, MS) basketball squad edged the visiting Bruce Trojans (Bruce, MS), by a margin of 48-43.

The Dragons (4-11) will now prepare for their outing against Water Valley (Water Valley, MS). The Blue Devils go into the 2A Region 2 outing with a 1-17 record. In their last outing, Water Valley was tipped by Ingomar (New Albany, MS), 72-18, in a league outing.

The Trojans now own a 7-11 record. They play next when they travel to Houlka for a non-league outing on Monday, January 29. Bruce will clash with a Wildcats squad coming off a 56-33 league loss to West Union (Myrtle, MS). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-19.
