In Thursday's non-league match, the host Anthem Prep Eagles basketball team scored a tight 35-28 triumph over the Bagdad Sultans.

In their next game, the Eagles meet the Veritas Prep Falcons (Phoenix, AZ) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, January 16. Anthem Prep will attempt to better on its 5-6 season record. The Falcons enter the match with a 5-4 record after their 64-31 non-league loss to Joseph City (Joseph City, AZ).
