Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Mohawk Area nipped by Wilmington
December 29, 2023: Bessemer, PA 16112 The Wilmington Greyhounds tipped the host Mohawk Area Warriors basketball team by a final score of 66-59 in Friday's non-league game.
In their next game, the Greyhounds face the Hickory Hornets (Hermitage, PA) in a District 10 Region 4 game, on Thursday, January 4. Wilmington will attempt to move on its 6-2 season record. The Hornets enter the game with a 2-6 record after their 60-33 non-league loss to Neshannock (New Castle, PA).
With the defeat, Mohawk Area moves to 6-3 on the year. The Warriors travel to Laurel (New Castle, PA) to face the Spartan in a WPIAL 3A 1 game on Tuesday, January 2. The Spartan enter the game with a record of 2-6. Laurel lost 62-29 in their recent non-league game against Eden Christian Academy (Pittsburgh, PA)
