Florence Eagles (Florence, MS) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host South Jones Braves (Ellisville, MS), 72-36 in a league bout.

With the win, Florence upgrades its record to 14-7 on the season. The Eagles host North Pike (Summit, MS) to clash with the Jaguars in a 5A Region 3 bout on Friday, January 12. The Jaguars go into the bout with a record of 15-6. North Pike lost 36-32 in their recent league bout against Brookhaven (Brookhaven, MS)

Next up, the Braves clash with the Provine Rams (Jackson, MS) in a 5A Region 3 bout, on Friday, January 12. South Jones will attempt to upgrade on its 3-13 season record. The Rams go into the bout with a 2-14 record after their 69-55 league loss to Natchez (Natchez, MS).
