The Simsbury Trojans basketball team scored 53 points and held the visiting Avon Falcons to 33 in the Trojans non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Trojans now sport a 7-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to East Hartford for a non-league contest on Friday, January 5. Simsbury will battle a Hornets team coming off a 58-44 league win over South Windsor (South Windsor, CT). The Hornets record now stands at 4-3.

The Falcons (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against Northwest Catholic (West Hartford, CT). The Lions enter the Central Connecticut - West Colonial contest with a 5-1 record. In their last contest, Northwest Catholic ran past Hall (West Hartford, CT), 51-32, in a league contest.
