Mississippi High School Football - Loyd Star trounces Stringer

September 23, 2022: Stringer, MS 39481

In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Loyd Star Hornets football squad scored a big 37-0 victory over the Stringer Red Devils.

In their next game, the Hornets clash with the East Marion Eagles (Columbia, MS) in a 2A Region 7 match, on Friday, September 30. Loyd Star will attempt to move on its 4-1 season record. The Eagles enter the match with a 1-4 record after their 44-14 non-league loss to Northeast Jones (Laurel, MS).

The Red Devils (1-4) will now prepare for their match against Collins (Collins, MS). The Tigers enter the 2A Region 8 match with a 0-5 record. In their last match, Collins was crushed by Mendenhall (Mendenhall, MS), 39-0, in a non-league match.
