Texas High School Football - Roma succumbs to Pioneer

The Pioneer Diamondbacks thwarted the visiting Roma Gladiators football team by a count of 43-35 in Friday's league outing.

With the win, Pioneer upgrades its record to 5-2 on the season. The Diamondbacks travel to Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest (Pharr, TX) to encounter the Javelinas in a 5A-2 Region IV District 16 outing on Friday, October 21. The Javelinas go into the outing with a record of 1-6. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest lost 35-7 in their recent league outing against Mission Veterans Memorial (Mission, TX)

With the loss, Roma moves to 3-4 on the season. The Gladiators host Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial (Alamo, TX) to encounter the Wolverines in a 5A-2 Region IV District 16 outing on Friday, October 21. The Wolverines go into the outing with a record of 3-4. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial lost 38-14 in their recent league outing against Sharyland (Mission, TX)
