The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Amherst County Lancers (Amherst, VA) and the host Liberty Minutemen (Bedford, VA), observed Amherst County's football squad bounce Liberty by a count of 49-8.

The Lancers now own a 3-0 record. They play next when they host Jefferson Forest for a Seminole contest on Friday, September 23. Amherst County will play a Cavaliers squad coming off a 49-27 league loss to Brookville (Lynchburg, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 2-1.

Coming up next, the Minutemen play the Glass Hilltoppers (Lynchburg, VA) in a Seminole contest, on Friday, September 23. Liberty will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Hilltoppers go into the contest with a 3-1 record after their 12-0 league loss to Heritage (Lynchburg, VA).
