In Friday's non-league game, the Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC) football team smashed the visiting Union Academy Cardinals (Monroe, NC), by a final score of 66-14.

The Wildcats (10-1) will now prepare for their game against Mitchell (Bakersville, NC). The Mountaineers come into the non-league game with a 8-3 record. In their last game, Mitchell overwhelmed South Davidson (Denton, NC), 72-21, in a non-league game.

The Cardinals now hold a 2-9 record.
