September 2, 2022: Shady Spring, WV 25918 In Friday's league game, the Nicholas County Grizzlies (Summersville, WV) football team knocked off the host Shady Spring Tigers (Shady Spring, WV), by a final score of 42-16.
The Grizzlies (1-1) will now prepare for their game against Wyoming East (New Richmond, WV). The Warriors come into the Coalfield AA game with a 0-2 record. In their last game, Wyoming East was dropped by Wahama (Mason, WV), 72-26, in a non-league game.
The Tigers now hold a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Summers County for a non-league game on Friday, September 9. Shady Spring will battle a Bobcats team coming off a 26-0 league loss to Greenbrier West (Charmco, WV). The Bobcats record now stands at 1-1.
