December 28, 2023: Shallowater, TX 79363 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Shallowater Mustangs (Shallowater, TX) and the visiting Mexia Black Cats (Mexia, TX), saw Shallowater's basketball squad hold off Mexia by a tally of 55-50.
With the victory, Shallowater improves its record to 14-0 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Krum (Krum, TX) to confront the Bobcats in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 29. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a record of 19-0. Krum won 78-45 in their recent non-league challenge against Peaster (Peaster, TX)
Next up, the Black Cats confront the Paradise Panthers (Paradise, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 29. Mexia will attempt to improve on its 10-9 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 9-9 record after their 78-49 non-league loss to Randall (Amarillo, TX).
