December 8, 2023: Hamlin, WV 25523

Mingo Central Miners (Matewan, WV) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Lincoln County Panthers (Hamlin, WV), 65-58 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mingo Central upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Miners host Man (Man, WV) to clash with the Hillbillies in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Hillbillies go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Man lost 60-55 in their recent non-league bout against River View (Bradshaw, WV)

Next up, the Panthers clash with the Ripley Vikings (Ripley, WV) in a Freelance bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Lincoln County will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 61-47 non-league win over North Marion (Farmington, WV).
