Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Austintown-Fitch Falcons (Youngstown, OH) and the visiting Howland Tigers (Warren, OH), saw Austintown-Fitch's basketball squad overcome Howland by a tally of 51-40.

With the victory, Austintown-Fitch improves its record to 7-4 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Newark (Newark, OH) to confront the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Sunday, January 14. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 11-1. Newark won 56-53 in their recent non-league challenge against Pickerington North (Pickerington, OH)

Next up, the Tigers confront the Boardman Spartans (Youngstown, OH) in a All-American challenge, on Tuesday, January 16. Howland will attempt to improve on its 6-7 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 3-9 record after their 47-41 league loss to Harding (Warren, OH).
