December 5, 2023: Centralia, IL 62801 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Althoff Catholic Crusaders (Belleville, IL) and the host Christ Our Rock Lutheran Silver Stallions (Centralia, IL), saw Althoff Catholic's basketball squad wallop Christ Our Rock Lutheran by a tally of 71-46.
With the victory, Althoff Catholic improves its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Crusaders travel to Maryville Christian (Maryville, IL) to confront the Lions in a Gateway challenge on Friday, December 8. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 1-5. Maryville Christian won 41-37 in their recent non-league challenge against First Baptist Academy (O'Fallon, IL)
Next up, the Silver Stallions confront the Father McGivney Catholic Griffins (Glen Carbon, IL) in a Gateway challenge, on Friday, December 8. Christ Our Rock Lutheran will attempt to improve on its 0-6 season record. The Griffins come into the challenge with a 3-4 record after their 56-32 league loss to Marquette Catholic (Alton, IL).
