Ohio High School Basketball - Lakota West overwhelms Mt. Healthy
December 30, 2023: West Chester, OH 45069 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Lakota West Firebirds (West Chester, OH) and the visiting Mt. Healthy Fighting Owls (Cincinnati, OH), saw Lakota West's basketball squad wallop Mt. Healthy by a tally of 74-31.
With the victory, Lakota West advances its record to 5-3 on the season. The Firebirds host Lakota East (Liberty Township, OH) to encounter the Thunderhawks in a Greater Miami test on Friday, January 5. The Thunderhawks go into the test with a record of 7-2. Lakota East won 59-38 in their recent non-league test against Brecksville-Broadview Heights (Broadview Heights, OH)
The Fighting Owls now own a 1-7 record. They play next when they host Purcell Marian for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 2. Mt. Healthy will encounter a Cavaliers squad coming off a 50-45 non-league loss to Timber Creek (Orlando, FL). The Cavaliers record now stands at 4-4.
