Texas High School Basketball - Gordon nudges Wellington
December 16, 2023: Gordon, TX 76453 Gordon Longhorns (Gordon, TX) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Wellington Skyrockets (Wellington, TX), 51-46 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Gordon upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Longhorns host Gorman (Gorman, TX) to clash with the Panthers in a 1A Region III District 19 bout on Tuesday, December 19. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 2-7. Gorman lost 48-34 in their recent non-league bout against Hico (Hico, TX)
Next up, the Skyrockets clash with the Ira Bulldogs (Ira, TX) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 16. Wellington will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 2-4 record after their 57-43 non-league win over Valley (Turkey, TX).
