Cranston East Thunderbolts (Cranston, RI) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Classical Purples (Providence, RI), 78-52 in a league bout.

With the victory, Cranston East upgrades its record to 3-1 on the campaign. The Thunderbolts travel to Pilgrim (Warwick, RI) to play the Patriots in a non-league bout on Friday, December 30. The Patriots come into the bout with a record of 0-4. Pilgrim lost 87-48 in their recent league bout against Rogers (Newport, RI)

Coming up next, the Purples battle the Portsmouth Patriots (Portsmouth, RI) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, January 3. Classical will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Patriots come into the battle with a 2-2 record after their 65-64 league win over Hope (Providence, RI).
