New Jersey High School Basketball - Don Bosco Prep topples Paramus Catholic
January 12, 2012: Paramus, NJ 07652 In Thursday's league outing, the Don Bosco Prep Ironmen (Ramsey, NJ) basketball squad beat the host Paramus Catholic Paladins (Paramus, NJ), by a count of 72-54.
The Ironmen (9-2) will now prepare for their outing against DePaul (Wayne, NJ). The Spartans go into the Big North - United outing with a 9-1 record. In their last match, DePaul was outscored by Bergen Catholic (Oradell, NJ), 56-54, in a league match.
With the defeat, Paramus Catholic moves to 3-3 on the year. The Paladins host Pascack Valley (Hillsdale, NJ) to confront the Indians in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 17. The Indians enter the match with a record of 5-2. Pascack Valley lost 49-33 in their recent league match against Bergenfield (Bergenfield, NJ)
First Quarter
PC got off slow as Don Bosco started off quick with Jemal Mosley, with 7pts and his team mate Stephen Prendergast, had 5pts. as DBT lead after thr 1st quarter 21-13.
Second Quarter
DBP continued to shot the ball well with three (3pointers) in the 2nd quarter, two by Paddy Quinn, Bosco won the quarter 20 to16 and lead at the half 41-29
Third Quarter
PC played even in the 3rd quarter 12 to 12, with 5pts from Vaughn Dudley and 4pts from Marquel Sheffled, PC still trailed DBP 53-14
Fourth Quarter
DBP's Mosely had 6 more points & bigman Dajon Todmann added 4pts DBP won the qaurter 19 to 13, and won the game 72-54.
