Texas High School Basketball - Johnson City fells Lutheran
January 20, 2012: San Antonio, TX 78240 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Johnson City Eagles (Johnson City, TX) and the host Lutheran Mustangs (San Antonio, TX), saw Johnson City's basketball squad overcome Lutheran by a count of 58-48.
With the victory, Johnson City upgrades its record to 6-7 on the campaign. The Eagles host Medina (Medina, TX) to play the Bobcats in a 1A-1 Region IV District 29 challenge on Friday, January 27. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a record of 23-4. Medina won 69-66 in their recent non-league battle against Cornerstone Christian (San Antonio, TX)
The Mustangs (10-13) will now prepare for their battle against Brook Hill (Bullard, TX). The Guard come into the non-league battle with a 8-10 record. In their last battle, Brook Hill dropped by Canyon Creek Christian Academy (Richardson, TX), 48-38, in a league battle.
