Kentucky High School Basketball - Cooper nudges Walton-Verona
November 29, 2011: Burlington, KY 41005 Cooper (Burlington, KY) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the visiting Walton-Verona Bearcats (Walton, KY), 55-48 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Cooper upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The travel to Conner (Hebron, KY) to encounter the Cougars in a District 33 bout on Friday, December 2. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Conner lost 48-45 in their recent non-league bout against Dixie Heights (Edgewood, KY)
Next up, the Bearcats encounter the Boone County Rebels (Florence, KY) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 2. Walton-Verona will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Rebels go into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 77-71 non-league win over Campbell County (Alexandria, KY).
