December 23, 2011: Itta Bena, MS 38941 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Durant Tigers (Durant, MS) and the host Leflore County Tigers (Itta Bena, MS), saw Durant's basketball squad overcome Leflore County by a count of 56-43.
With the victory, Durant upgrades its record to 7-4 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to West Oktibbeha (Maben, MS) to play the Timberwolves in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 27. The Timberwolves come into the challenge with a record of 10-2. West Oktibbeha won 66-64 in their recent non-league challenge against East Oktibbeha (Crawford, MS)
Next up, the Tigers play the McClain Mustangs (Lexington, MS) in a 3A Region 4 challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. Leflore County will attempt to upgrade on its 5-12 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 10-4 record after their 69-42 non-league win over Leflore County (Itta Bena, MS).
