Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions (Glendale, AZ) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host McClintock Chargers (Tempe, AZ), 52-46 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mountain Ridge upgrades its record to 4-7 on the season. The Mountain Lions travel to Perry (Gilbert, AZ) to play the Pumas in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 28. The Pumas go into the bout with a record of 12-1. Perry won 82-51 in their recent non-league bout against Marcos de Niza (Tempe, AZ)

Next up, the Chargers play the Marcos de Niza Padres (Tempe, AZ) in a II Section IV bout, on Saturday, December 28. McClintock will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Padres go into the bout with a 5-6 record after their 82-51 non-league loss to Perry (Gilbert, AZ).
