Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Northern Patriots (Owings, MD) and the host Patuxent Panthers (Lusby, MD), saw Northern's basketball squad overcome Patuxent by a tally of 71-62.

With the victory, Northern improves its record to 7-6 on the campaign. The Patriots host Huntingtown (Huntingtown, MD) to confront the Hurricanes in a Southern Maryland challenge on Monday, January 27. The Hurricanes come into the challenge with a record of 5-3.

Next up, the Panthers confront the Westlake Wolverines (Waldorf, MD) in a Southern Maryland challenge, on Monday, January 27. Patuxent will attempt to improve on its 7-5 season record. The Wolverines come into the challenge with a 9-3 record after their 70-68 non-league win over Washington-Lee (Arlington, VA).
