In Tuesday's league outing, the Higley Knights (Gilbert, AZ) basketball squad beat the visiting Mesquite Wildcats (Gilbert, AZ), by a count of 49-36.

The Knights (15-5) will now prepare for their outing against Westwood (Mesa, AZ). The Warriors go into the II Section VI outing with a 11-13 record. In their last outing, Westwood was topped by Williams Field (Gilbert, AZ), 62-56, in a league outing.

The Wildcats now hold a 3-16 record. They play next when they host McClintock for a II Section VI outing on Friday, January 29. Mesquite will play a Chargers squad coming off a 73-71 league win over Queen Creek (Queen Creek, AZ). The Chargers record now stands at 14-8.
