Ionia Bulldogs (Ionia, MI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Central Montcalm Hornets (Stanton, MI), 62-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Ionia upgrades its record to 5-8 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Williamston (Williamston, MI) to clash with the Hornets in a Capital Area - White bout on Friday, February 5. The Hornets go into the bout with a record of 11-4. Williamston lost 87-65 in their recent non-league bout against DeWitt (DeWitt, MI)

Next up, the Hornets clash with the Tri County Area Vikings (Howard City, MI) in a Central State - Gold challenge, on Friday, February 5. Central Montcalm will attempt to improve on its 1-11 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 5-6 record after their 76-52 non-league win over Fremont (Fremont, MI).
