Humphrey/Holy Family (Humphrey, NE) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Howells-Dodge Jaguars (Howells, NE), 66-64 in a league bout.

With the win, Humphrey/Holy Family upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The host Shelby-Rising City (Shelby, NE) to play the Huskies in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 12. The Huskies go into the bout with a record of 0-3. Shelby-Rising City lost 47-37 in their recent league bout against Giltner (Giltner, NE)

Next up, the Jaguars play the Oakland-Craig Knights (Oakland, NE) in a C2 District 3 bout, on Saturday, December 12. Howells-Dodge will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 3-1 record after their 78-36 league win over Pender (Pender, NE).
