In Tuesday's non-league game, the visiting Laney Buccaneers baseball team scored a tight 8-6 victory over the Ashley .

Laney was provided with too many runs on walks, wild pitches, and miscues, and took advantage to hang on for the win. Sam Cavanaugh was the tough luck loser in relief of Brody Curran. Christian Wolfe hit a solo homerun, and Chance Shepard added a double. Chris Hicks also chipped in with a triple. Ashley is now 10-3, and plays Olympic High School tomorrow at 4:30 in the consolation game of the Ashley Spring Break Tournament.
