East Mecklenburg Eagles (Charlotte, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Hough [William A.] Huskies (Cornelius, NC), 7-6 in a non-league test.

With the win, East Mecklenburg upgrades its record to 8-5 on the season. The Eagles travel to Charlotte Catholic (Charlotte, NC) to battle the Cougars in a non-league test on Thursday, April 5. The Cougars come into the test with a record of 8-6. Charlotte Catholic lost 8-6 in their recent non-league test against North Mecklenburg (Huntersville, NC)
