Siegel Stars (Murfreesboro, TN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Foley Lions (Foley, AL), 8-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Stars now own a 12-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fort Payne for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 29. Siegel will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 4-0 non-league loss to Hatton (Town Creek, AL). The Wildcats record now stands at 7-3.

With the loss, Foley falls to 5-12 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Fairhope (Fairhope, AL) to battle the Pirates in a 7A Area 2 challenge on Thursday, March 31. The Pirates enter the challenge with a record of 19-1. Fairhope won 17-0 in their recent league challenge against Murphy (Mobile, AL)
