April 29, 2022: Seneca, IL 61360 In Friday's non-league contest, the Ottawa Pirates (Ottawa, IL) softball team overwhelmed the host Seneca Fighting Irish (Seneca, IL), by a margin of 8-0.
With the triumph, Ottawa moves its record to 13-5 on the year. The Pirates travel to LaSalle-Peru (LaSalle, IL) to play the Cavaliers in a Interstate Eight contest on Monday, May 2. The Cavaliers come into the contest with a record of 16-2. LaSalle-Peru won 19-0 in their recent non-league contest against Kewanee (Kewanee, IL)
In their next game, the Fighting Irish play the Lowpoint-Washburn Wildcats (Washburn, IL) in a Tri-County contest, on Tuesday, May 3. Seneca will attempt to move on its 13-5 season record. The Wildcats come into the contest with a 0-16 record after their 22-2 league loss to Dwight (Dwight, IL).
