Georgia High School Basketball - Woodland can't hold off Coosa
December 20, 2017: Rome, GA 30165 The Coosa Eagles basketball team scored 57 points and restricted the visiting Woodland Wildcats to 54 in the Eagles non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Eagles now sport a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cedartown for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 27. Coosa will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 69-42 non-league loss to Paulding County (Dallas, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 5-3.
The Wildcats (1-8) will now prepare for their contest against Villa Rica (Villa Rica, GA). The Wildcats come into the AAAAA Region 7 contest with a 10-0 record. In their last contest, Villa Rica edged Dawson Christian Academy (Dawsonville, GA), 53-38, in a non-league contest.
