New Mexico High School Basketball - Evangel Christian Academy nips Walatowa Charter
February 10, 2018: Albuquerque, NM 87109 Evangel Christian Academy Eagles (Albuquerque, NM) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Walatowa Charter Cougars (Jemez Pueblo, NM), 58-51 in a league bout.
With the win, Evangel Christian Academy upgrades its record to 10-14 on the season. The Eagles travel to New Mexico School for the Deaf (Santa Fe, NM) to play the Roadrunners in a A District 1 bout on Tuesday, February 13. The Roadrunners go into the bout with a record of 14-4. New Mexico School for the Deaf won 57-43 in their recent non-league bout against Missouri School for the Deaf (Fulton, MO)
Next up, the Cougars confront the Santa Fe Waldorf Wolves (Santa Fe, NM) in a A District 1 challenge, on Monday, February 12. Walatowa Charter will attempt to improve on its 11-11 season record. The Wolves come into the challenge with a 6-10 record after their 75-58 non-league loss to Vaughn (Vaughn, NM).
