In Friday's non-league outing, the Wilkes Central Eagles (Wilkesboro, NC) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting East Burke Cavaliers (Connelly Springs, NC), by a margin of 72-43.

The Eagles (7-4) will now prepare for their outing against Elkin (Elkin, NC). The Elks go into the Mountain Valley 1A/2A outing with a 1-12 record. In their last outing, Elkin was trounced by Surry Central (Dobson, NC), 79-71, in a non-league outing.
