In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Veterans Memorial Eagles basketball team scored a good 59-46 triumph over the Fort Bend Hightower Hurricanes.

In their next game, the Eagles meet the Fort Bend Elkins Knights (Missouri City, TX) in a non-league match, on Friday, December 8. Veterans Memorial will attempt to move on its 12-1 season record. The Knights enter the match with a 8-8 record after their 67-49 non-league win over Clear Springs (League City, TX).

With the defeat, Fort Bend Hightower moves to 8-4 on the year. The Hurricanes travel to Westfield (Houston, TX) to meet the Mustangs in a non-league match on Friday, December 8.
