In Tuesday's league match, the host Durant Tigers basketball team scored a good 79-62 triumph over the Ethel Tigers.

In their next game, the Tigers meet the Montgomery County Hornets (Kilmichael, MS) in a 1A Region 5 match, on Friday, February 9. Durant will attempt to better on its 9-11 season record. The Hornets enter the match with a 17-7 record after their 80-50 league loss to Coffeeville (Coffeeville, MS).
