In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Kerman Lions basketball team scored a good 53-45 triumph over the Porterville Panthers.

In their next game, the Lions meet the Sierra Chieftains (Tollhouse, CA) in a North Sequoia match, on Wednesday, January 17. Kerman will attempt to better on its 15-4 season record. The Chieftains enter the match with a 10-7 record after their 60-49 non-league win over Reedley (Reedley, CA).
