Illinois High School Basketball - Andrew can't hold off Highland Park
December 29, 2017: Highland Park, IL 60035 The Highland Park Giants basketball team scored 54 points and restricted the visiting Andrew Thunderbolts to 50 in the Giants non-league victory on Friday.
The Giants now sport a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Moline for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 6. Highland Park will battle a Maroons team coming off a 65-54 non-league win over Boylan Catholic (Rockford, IL). The Maroons record now stands at 10-3.
The Thunderbolts (8-6) will now prepare for their contest against Bradley-Bourbonnais (Bradley, IL). The Boilermakers come into the SouthWest Suburban - Red contest with a 4-9 record. In their last contest, Bradley-Bourbonnais edged Carver (Chicago, IL), 42-32, in a non-league contest.
