Texas High School Basketball - Pearland holds off Dawson
January 9, 2018: Pearland, TX 77588 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Pearland Oilers (Pearland, TX) and the visiting Dawson Eagles (Pearland, TX), saw Pearland's basketball squad hold off Dawson by a tally of 57-56.
With the victory, Pearland improves its record to 14-10 on the campaign. The Oilers travel to George Ranch (Richmond, TX) to confront the Longhorns in a 6A Region III District 23 challenge on Friday, January 12. The Longhorns come into the challenge with a record of 7-12. George Ranch won 55-53 in their recent league challenge against Brazoswood (Clute, TX)
Next up, the Eagles confront the Alief Elsik Rams (Houston, TX) in a 6A Region III District 23 challenge, on Friday, January 12. Dawson will attempt to improve on its 12-12 season record. The Rams come into the challenge with a 7-15 record after their 65-60 league loss to Alief Hastings (Houston, TX).
