Colorado High School Basketball - Hanover nips Kiowa

January 21, 2023: Kiowa, CO 80117

Hanover Hornets (Colorado Springs, CO) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Kiowa Indians (Kiowa, CO), 36-33 in a league bout.

With the victory, Hanover upgrades its record to 5-5 on the campaign. The Hornets host Elbert (Elbert, CO) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 25. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 3-5. Elbert lost 50-44 in their recent league bout against Evangelical Christian (Colorado Springs, CO)

Next up, the Indians play the Genoa-Hugo/Karval Pirates (Hugo, CO) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 26. Kiowa will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Pirates come into the bout with a 7-3 record after their 73-59 league loss to Burlington (Burlington, CO).
