The Pinecrest Patriots basketball team (Southern Pines, NC), was nudged 69-66 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Clayton Comets (Clayton, NC)

The Comets now possess a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host East Wake for a non-league battle on Monday, December 5. Clayton will battle a Warriors team coming off a 58-54 non-league loss to Rolesville (Rolesville, NC). The Warriors record now stands at 1-1.
