September 12, 2014: Alverton, PA 15612 The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Southmoreland Scotties (Alverton, PA) and the visiting Brownsville Falcons (Brownsville, PA), observed Southmoreland's football squad bounce Brownsville by a count of 34-0.
The Scotties now own a 2-1 record. They play next when they host McGuffey for a WPIAL AA Interstate contest on Friday, September 19. Southmoreland will play a Highlanders squad coming off a 56-6 non-league win over Mohawk Area (Bessemer, PA). The Highlanders record now stands at 2-1.
